Circumstances:

On 27 June 2023, unidentified servicemen of the russian Armed Forces from the 1st and 107th Missile Brigades (which were under the command of Kuzovlev and armed with 9K720 ‘Iskander-K’ tactical missile systems) launched 9M727 cruise missiles. The launch took place from launch sites in the Rostov Oblast of the rf.

At around 19:30, one of the missiles struck the ‘RiaPizza’ café (45 V. Stus Street), a popular venue among local residents, causing significant damage to the building, rendering it beyond repair, whilst another struck the road surface at the junction of Sofiivska Street and Belyaeva Street.

In addition, the missile strike caused widespread damage around the impact sites: 120 residential buildings, four educational establishments, 10 shops and kiosks, two catering establishments, a telecoms branch, offices of private companies and banks, as well as 12 vehicles were damaged.

Casualties:

Thirteen people were killed, including 12 civilians — notably four children and one foreign national — and one military personnel.

Sixty-four people were injured: 48 civilians, including one child and seven foreign nationals, and 16 military personnel, including five foreign nationals. A total of 77 people were affected.

Damage:

A café was partially destroyed, and numerous shops, offices, blocks of flats and private houses were damaged, as were 12 vehicles.
