While holding the position of deputy commander of the Special Forces company of the 96th separate reconnaissance brigade of the russian armed forces, he directly supervised subordinate personnel and participated in combat operations on the territory of Ukraine.
There are reasonable grounds to believe that the person is involved in the commission of a particularly grave war crime - the shooting of a Ukrainian prisoner of war. The said person is reasonably suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war provided for by international treaties ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, combined with intentional murder by a group of persons).
Such actions constitute a direct and gross violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War and are part of russian aggressive war against Ukraine. At the same time, the person did not exercise the right to refuse to execute a clearly criminal order, the obligation to disobey which is provided for by international law, thus becoming a direct perpetrator and accomplice in the crime.
