While holding the position of commander of the supply platoon of the 252nd guards motorized rifle regiment , carried out the direct execution of combat missions and participated in occupation measures on the territory of Ukraine. There are reasonable grounds to believe that during the occupation of the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region in May 2022, the person was involved in the commission of serious war crimes against a civilian resident, acting by prior conspiracy by a group of persons. Namely: illegal entry into a home and search , cruel treatment of the civilian population , illegal deprivation of liberty , systematic use of physical violence (striking with an assault rifle butt, a weapon to the head, and kicking in the stomach) , as well as exerting significant psychological pressure and death threats using firearms (shooting near the head and holding a pistol to the temple).

These actions are an act of brutal terror and violence against the civilian population and a gross violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War , being a component of the aggressive war of russia against Ukraine, and at the same time contain signs of a violation of the laws and customs of war. Along with this, the person did not use the right to refuse to execute a clearly criminal order, the obligation of non-execution of which is provided by the norms of international law, thus becoming an accomplice to the crime.

By a judgment of the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kharkiv dated 11 October 2024, he was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment for assaulting a civilian, unlawfully entering his home and making death threats during the occupation of Izyum.
